The Douglasville Human Resources Department recognized the hard work of all the employees who make the City function so well on October 9th at Ike Owings Community Center with a "Paradise in the Park" luau.
HR Director Teaa Allston said "a recent survey found that employee recognition plays a major role in employee retention, and job satisfaction with nearly 7 of 10 responding that they were happy with their jobs because their employer simply showed appreciation for a good job in tangible ways. By contrast, only 3 of 10 employees felt valued when there was no recognition. I also want to thank our Employee Appreciation Committee for all their hard work in making this event happen for their coworkers", she continued."Retaining our good employees has significant impact on all areas of City operation including training costs, productivity, and the effectiveness of City services", stated HR Manager April Tolbert.
