Second Class Graduates from Dose Of Douglasville Citizens Academy!

The Dose of Douglasville Citizens Academy, held their second graduation ceremony last month. This "citizen engaged" group of 16 people either live or work in Douglasville, and got an overview of city operations during their 10 week class. They represent a broad cross section of our city.

Operations Manager, Chelsea Jackson coordinates the academy and said, "the Academy provides residents with information, resources, and tools to become knowledgeable community members and effective neighborhood leaders. These people have a desire to serve their community, and we believe that starts with learning how local government works."

Congratulations to the Dose of Douglasville class of 2018, and be on the lookout later this year when we will begin accepting applications for the 2019 class!
