Congratulations to Anchor Heating and Air Conditioning Co, the recipients of the Keep Douglasville Beautiful's BEACONS Award for their outstanding conservation and community service! Douglasville’s Mayor Rochelle Robinson was on site to present the personalized award to Barry Tysor, owner of Anchor Heating & Air Co. The BEACONS Award is presented quarterly to local businesses that practice, promote, and encourage environmental stewardship, beautification, and community service within the City of Douglasville.Anchor Heating & Air Conditioning Company has been operating in Douglasville since 1970 and they remain committed to improving the community through community service, support, outreach and conservation practices. Anchor supports and volunteers with several organizations and non-profits throughout the local community and the surrounding Atlanta area. Many of the programs they support are dedicated to investing in local youth and include partnering with programs such as Douglas County CASA, Atlanta Covenant House, Douglas County Gravity Games, Partners-In-Education, Music Education Programs, Sports and Teacher Appreciation. As a sustainable business practice – Anchor practices recycling on a company and employee level – recycling thousands of pounds of metal, cardboard, paper and plastics.
