Keep Douglasville Beautiful in cooperation with the Douglasville/Douglas County Cultural Arts Council held a ribbon cutting at the Mayor's Monarch Pledge Butterfly Garden at Worthan Park for a beautiful new "found art" butterfly sculpture.

Mayor Rochelle Robinson, Mayor Pro Tem Richard Segal, Cultural Arts Council Executive Director Emily Lightner, and KDB Executive Director Chan Weeks all spoke to the attendees about the piece. Representatives from the Douglas County Chamber of Commerce were there to lend a hand with the ribbon cutting.

The sculpture is a joint effort between KDB, and the Douglasville Cultural Arts Council as part of their Public Art Initiative.

It was designed by local Artist Alan Kuykendall.
