[ARCHIVED] Census 2020 Is Coming!

Census 2020

On June 20th, Douglas County, the City of Douglasville and the City of Villa Rica will be holding a kickoff event for the 2020 Census. The event will be held at the Douglas County Courthouse, 8700 Hospital Drive, Douglasville, Ga. 30134.

The kickoff will take place at 6:30 p.m. in Citizen's Hall on the 1st floor of the courthouse.

“The importance of the Census 2020 cannot be overstated. In our state alone it will decide the disposition of $13.7 Billion dollars that will be allocated for Medicaid, transportation and food assistance as well as apportionment for voting,” said Ron Roberts, Douglas County Planning & Zoning Department Manager. “We, as a county, need to make it our mission to see that we count everyone once and in the right place so that we are correctly represented. Please help get the word out about completing the Census 2020 information to all your neighbors, customers and fellow Douglas County residents.”
