Clearing Begins At New City Maintenance Facility
The City's Maintenance and Sanitation operations will gain much needed space to facilitate growth when their new Cedar Mountain Road Maintenance Facility opens in the Fall of 2020, if the project stays on schedule.
Clearing and grading work started in the middle of February, and is expected to take several weeks to complete.
"Our new facility is partially paid for with 2016 SPLOST funds and will occupy 15 acres of our 65 acre tract. For comparison, our present facility on Club Drive is about 3 acres" stated Assistant Maintenance Director, Melissa Dickinson.
