KDB Bring One For The Chipper
Keep Douglasville Beautiful's 18th annual Bring One for the Chipper held on January 4th in conjunction with Home Depot took in approximately 350 discarded Christmas trees. Those trees joined the over 6 million trees that have been diverted from landfills statewide since the program’s inception in 1991. The trees will be recycled into mulch for playgrounds, city and county landscaping projects, and Douglasville resident's home use, and will also be used to provide habitats for fish and other animals.
Keep Douglasville Beautiful Program Coordinator Stephanie McFall gives a willow tree seedling to a Bring One for the Chipper participant.
