Douglasville Temporarily Suspends Recycling in Response to COVID-19
Due to concerns related to COVID-19, the City of Douglasville has suspended residential recycling effective immediately. This decision allows the Public Services Department to concentrate all manpower on the removal of solid waste and the many other areas that this department serves. This is a major public health issue and we do apologize for the inconvenience. We hope to reinstate recycling pickup within a few weeks. During this suspension period, we do suggest that citizens dispose of recyclable materials in their City of Douglasville garbage container along with other solid waste.
Please Note: All solid waste has to be bagged and contained in your normal garbage container issued by the City of Douglasville. Our crews will not be physically removing garbage by hand, so if there is garbage on the ground, we will not remove it. If there is garbage outside your container, we will not empty the container. This is not a new requirement, just a reminder.
