Weather permitting, Georgia Department of Transportation (Georgia DOT) and its contractors will implement daytime traffic pacing near the I-285/I-20 west interchange to perform controlled blasting of rock. Additionally, contractors will temporarily close interstate lanes nightly for geotechnical borings, utility location, and setting barrier walls in preparation for upcoming construction.
