Alcohol Licenses & Reports

The Alcohol License Division is part of the Finance Department and is responsible for issuing alcohol beverage licenses. An alcohol beverage license is what a business needs in order to serve alcohol in the City of Douglasville.

Alcohol License appointments in the box to the right are not for server permits. Those must be obtained from the Douglasville Police Department at 2083 Fairburn Road, Douglasville, GA 30135. Please do not book appointments or come to City Hall for server permits.

The Finance Department also handles changes of agent outlet manager, ownership change or a location change at that business.

All alcoholic beverage licenses expire on December 31 of each year. A renewal packet will be mailed to each licensee which will include a written application for renewal which is due on or before November 15. The renewal application can also be accessed electronically by logging into the Georgia Tax Center website. See the steps to renew your alcohol beverage license.

If you are an employee of a restaurant that will be pouring or serving alcohol in the city, you need a server's permit which must be obtained at the Douglasville Police Department, 2083 Fairburn Road, Douglasville GA 30135 or 770-920-3010. This is in addition to the alcohol beverage license that the restaurant must have.

If you are seeking an alcoholic beverage license in the City of Douglasville, our Finance Department has made personnel available to meet with you and guide you through this process. Book an appointment here. Again, these appointments are not for server permits.
