Alcohol Licenses & Reports

All alcoholic beverage licenses expire on December 31 of each year. A renewal application will be mailed to each licensee which will include a written application for renewal which is due on or before November 15. The renewal application can also be accessed electronically by logging into the Georgia Tax Center website.

The license fee shall be paid in full no later than December 31 of each year. If the renewal application is not made by November 15 of each year or if such fees are not paid by December 31 of each year, an additional 10% of the license fee will be assessed against the licensee. Delay in submitting your application and supporting documents could result in a late fee.

Steps to renewing your Alcohol License:

1. Submit renewal paperwork through the Georgia Tax Center website. Allow 72 business hours for processing.
2. Once the renewal has been processed, expect an email from Stephanie Tucker with payment options. You may pay online (a link will be provided) or in person at Douglasville City Hall, 6695 Church St. Douglasville, GA 30134.

Initial Application for License

All requests now originate through the Georgia Tax Center Alcohol License Portal.

Once you have created an account and are in the application process online, you will be prompted to download the City of Douglasville Alcohol License Application Packet.

Fill that application out electronically and you will be prompted to upload all your documentation as you continue. Make sure that you upload all the documentation listed on the front page of the Douglasville application packet.

The Georgia Tax Center will forward your application to the City of Douglasville Finance Department who will contact you to complete the application.

Yes, all alcoholic beverage licenses expire December 31st of each year. A renewal letter is mailed to each licensee who shall make a written application for renewal on or before November 15 of each year on forms approved by the clerk, and the license fee shall be paid in full no later than December 31 of each year. The City Finance Department will process your application of alcoholic beverages licenses only after sale of the business has been completed, and this application may be made the same day as the sale. After the alcoholic beverage application has been filed, the business may continue to serve alcohol for the shorter of 45 days or the time of approval or denial of the application.
