2025 Comprehensive Transportation Plan Update

Douglasville is updating its Comprehensive Transportation Plan (CTP) for 2025, which outlines transportation projects over a 5, 10, and 30-year time horizon, based on the community's needs and priorities. Below are the project goals:

Improve Safety for All Modes

Enhance the efficiency, connectivity, and reliability of the transportation network for all users.

Improve Mobility & Connectivity

Reduce crashes and improve safety for drivers, pedestrians, bicyclists, and transit users.

Expand Multi-modal & Transit Options

Provide a balanced transportation system that supports transit, walking, and biking as viable alternatives to driving.

Support Economic Vitality & Freight Movement

Ensure the transportation system supports economic development and efficient freight access.

Promote Equity, Accessibility & Quality of Life

Ensure all residents including underserved and transit-dependent populations have equitable access to transportation and opportunities.

Advance Sustainability & System Preservation

Maintain existing infrastructure in good condition while promoting environmentally responsible and resilient transportation solutions.
