City of Douglasville To Hold A Location and Design Public Information Open House For P.I. No. 0019210 - Douglas County

 

 

On Thursday, August 7, 2025, 4 PM to 7 PM at Jessie Davis Park, 7775 Jessie Davis Park Drive, Suite 300, Douglasville, GA 30134 (building on the left).

The City of Douglasville will hold a Public Information Open House concerning P.I. No. 0019210 - Douglas County

This project proposes updating Fairburn Road from the City Street (CS) 578/Hospital Drive intersection to the intersection of State Route (SR) 5/SR 8 (Veterans Memorial Highway) into a Complete Street. 

A Complete Street is a transportation facility that strives to balance the needs of all users, not just vehicles. The project limits would begin just west of the new SR 92 Bypass, therefore diverting a significant amount of traffic from Fairburn Road. This will allow for an opportunity to expand pedestrian facilities on Fairburn Road. The proposed project is approximately 0.78 miles.

The purpose of this Location and Public Information Open House is to provide the public with an opportunity to view the project, ask questions, and comment on the project.

The Open House will be held from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. It will be informal, and the public is invited to attend anytime during these hours. There will be no formal presentation.
