The City of Douglasville has once again been recognized as one of Atlanta’s Healthiest Employers by the Atlanta Business Chronicle, an honor that highlights the City’s continued investment in workplace wellness, professional development, and organizational culture.
This marks the sixth time the City has received this recognition, a testament to its commitment to cultivating a supportive and high-performing work environment.
The Atlanta’s Healthiest Employers program, hosted by the Atlanta Business Chronicle in partnership with Healthiest Employers®, evaluates organizations across six core pillars:
- Culture and Leadership
- Foundational Components
- Strategic Planning
- Communications and Marketing
- Programming and Interventions
- Reporting and Analytics
These categories reflect how well organizations embed health and wellness into their leadership priorities, infrastructure, employee communications, and measurable outcomes.
“Being recognized across these dimensions shows that wellness at the City of Douglasville isn’t a one-time campaign, it’s part of who we are,” said Allison Parker, Organizational Development Manager. “We are proud to provide meaningful opportunities that support our team’s personal and professional well-being.”
The City’s Organizational Development Division, housed within the City Manager’s Office, leads these efforts in close collaboration with the Human Resources Department. Together, they drive a coordinated strategy that focuses on:
- Employee development and education
- Wellness and mental health awareness
- Appreciation and recognition programs
- Workplace engagement and team-building initiatives
