NOTICE - RAILROAD CROSSING CLOSURE

The City of Douglasville has received notice that Norfolk Southern Railway will begin railroad construction in the area starting late next week or during the week of May 26-30, 2025, beginning at the W. As part of the planned work, crews will move eastward from this initial location, completing one crossing at a time. Each railroad crossing will be closed for approximately 48 to 72 hours while improvements are made.

The City urges all residents, commuters, and visitors to plan alternate routes during this time and to be aware of posted signage and detours in affected areas.
