Beginning January 2026, the City of Douglasville will begin picking up the blue recycling bins from homes as part of a scheduled bin removal process. This effort involves the removal of the physical bins only and does not indicate a return of curbside recycling service.

Residents who notice their blue recycling bin missing during this time should know it has been collected as part of the scheduled removal and is not a service issue. Public Services crews will be working neighborhood by neighborhood to complete the process as efficiently as possible.

Recycling Center Open for Drop-Off

While blue recycling bins are being removed, residents are encouraged to continue recycling by using the City of Douglasville Recycling Center, which remains open and available for drop-off.
