Project Overview

The Dallas Highway Improvements project will enhance pedestrian and bicycle connectivity along the former SR 92, also known as Old Dallas Highway, corridor between East Strickland Street and the new SR 92 alignment.

The project includes new sidewalks, a shared-use path, pedestrian crossings, median refuge islands, and lane-width reductions designed to improve safety, calm traffic, and better connect the North Side neighborhood with Downtown Douglasville. The improvements advance the Livable Centers Initiative (LCI) Study’s vision of transforming Dallas Highway into a safer, more walkable, bike-friendly corridor that connects residents to parks, schools, businesses, and Downtown.
