Millage Rate Public Hearing - 10 AM

NOTICE OF PROPERTY TAX INCREASE

The City of Douglasville has tentatively adopted a millage rate which will require an increase in property taxes of 7.23 percent.

All concerned citizens are invited to the public hearing on this tax increase to be held at the Douglasville Conference Center Auditorium located at 6700 Church Street, Douglasville, Georgia on Monday July 20th at 10:00 am and 6:00 pm.

Time and place of an additional public hearing on the tax increase is at the Douglasville Conference Center Auditorium located at 6700 Church Street, Douglasville, Ga. on August 3rd at 5:00 pm.

This tentative increase will result in a millage rate of 8.749 mills, an increase of .59 mills.

Without this tentative tax increase, the millage rate will be no more than 8.159 mills.

The proposed tax increase for a home with a fair market value of $375,000 is approximately $88.50 increase for M&O and the proposed tax increase for non-homestead property with  a fair market value of $300,000 is approximately $70.80 increase for M&O.
