The Thursday, March 12 Legislative Work Session has been cancelled.

 

The following Planning & Development items will be on the agenda for March 12th:

The City of Douglasville Planning Commission will hold a Public Hearing on Tuesday, March 3rd, 2026, to consider a request for a variance from section 8.01 of the Unified Development Ordinance to reduce the required parking from 40 spaces to 30 spaces. The site consists of +/- 3.106 acres located on Vansant Road in Land Lot 903, District 1, Section 5, Parcel ID 09031820003 and a portion of Parcel ID 09031820006. The request for variance will be considered at the City Councils Legislative Meeting on Thursday, March 12th, 2026 and voted upon at the Regular Voting Meeting on Monday, March 16th, 2026. Both Planning Commission and City Council meetings will be held at 6:00 pm, in the Douglasville Conference Center Auditorium, 6700 Church Street, Douglasville, Georgia 30134. Application by Dickinson Properties, LLC. Interested parties may attend the public hearing.

The site consists of +/- 3.106 acres located on Vansant Road in Land Lot 903, District 1, Section 5, Parcel ID 09031820003 and a portion of Parcel ID 09031820006. The request for the special land use permit will be considered at the City Councils Legislative Meeting on Thursday, March 12th, 2026 and voted upon at the Regular Voting Meeting on Monday, March 16th, 2026. Both Planning Commission and City Council meetings will be held at 6:00 pm, in the Douglasville Conference Center Auditorium, 6700 Church Street, Douglasville, Georgia 30134. The request for rezoning will be considered at the City Councils Legislative Meeting on Thursday, March 12th, 2026 and voted upon at the Regular Voting Meeting on Monday, March 16th, 2026. Both Planning Commission and City Council meetings will be held at 6:00 pm, in the Douglasville Conference Center Auditorium, 6700 Church Street, Douglasville, Georgia 30134. The Douglasville Planning Commission will hold a public hearing on Tuesday, March 3rd, 2026 to consider a request for a change in zoning from R-2 (Single Family Residential Detached, District) to R-5 (Single Family Cottage Residential, District) for +/- 8 acres located on 6877 Upshaw Mill Road, in Land Lot 18, District 1, Section 5, Parcel ID 0018015A015. The request for rezoning will be considered at the City Councils Legislative Meeting on Thursday, March 12th, 2026 and voted upon at the Regular Voting Meeting on Monday, March 16th, 2026. Both Planning Commission and City Council meetings will be held at 6:00 pm, in the Douglasville Conference Center Auditorium, 6700 Church Street, Douglasville, Georgia 30134. Application by DMV Construction. Interested parties may attend the public hearing.
