Devetrion D. Caldwell, Ward 3 Post 1

Devetrion D. Caldwell has 15 years of executive-level experience spanning government, federal funding and programs, private-sector management, and consulting.

He currently serves as Program Director for two firms, where he provides strategic oversight in personnel management, financial operations, and client relations.

In 2016, Mr. Caldwell made history as the youngest individual ever elected to the Douglas County Board of Education, and one of the youngest in the State of Georgia.

During his tenure, he helped manage an annual budget exceeding $260 million—the largest budget in Douglas County at the time—and oversaw more than 3,000 employees. He also served as Legislative Liaison and as one of two financial leads for the Board.

In 2022, Mr. Caldwell was elected Vice Chair of the Douglas County Board of Education.

In 2023, he was recommended and considered for a gubernatorial appointment, reflecting his growing reputation for leadership and public service.

In 2025, Mr. Caldwell made history for a second time politically when he was elected as the youngest person to serve on the City of Douglasville City Council, representing Ward 3, Post 1.

Mr. Caldwell holds a Bachelor of Business Administration with a minor in Marketing. In addition to his public service, he is a small business owner based in Douglas County, within the City of Douglasville.

He is a member of the 100 Black Men of Douglasville, where he has served as Correspondence Secretary, and serves as a Board Member of F.I.T. for the Future, a nonprofit organization dedicated to providing holistic mentoring programs focused on academics, health, and career development for underserved youth.

Mr. Caldwell is a 21st-century leader who is deeply committed to serving his community in real time, fostering effective business and governmental relationships across the State of Georgia, and advancing the continued growth and success of Douglasville and Douglas County.
