Bring One For The Chipper

Keep Douglasville Beautiful staff and volunteers will be hosting  “Bring One for the Chipper” on January 10 , 2026. The event will be at Home Depot, located at 7399 Douglas Blvd., Douglasville, GA 30135 from 9 AM - 2 PM.

Reminders:

• Remove all lights & ornaments before drop-off.
• Tree drop-off starts Dec 26.
• Assistance with tree recycling is only available Saturday, Jan 10.

This event is co-sponsored by The Home Depot, Burpee Seed Company, Georgia Forestry Commission, Ferry Morse Company, WXIA 11 Alive, and Davey Tree Expert Company in cooperation with Keep Georgia Beautiful.

Bring One for the Chipper, a holiday tradition in Georgia for over 30 years and the largest tree recycling program in the nation, invites residents to bring their Christmas trees to one of more than 120 sites statewide.

Trees will be recycled into mulch for playgrounds, city and county landscaping projects, and individual homes, and will also be used to provide habitats for fish and other wildlife.

Since the program’s inception, over 6 million Christmas Trees have been diverted from landfills. Media is invited to cover the event.

While the event officially takes place on Saturday, January 10, trees can be dropped off at the Home Depot before the event starting the day after Christmas. Please note that drop-off during this time is unmanned.
